Director of Sales - Strategic Grocery

Help take one of the most exciting brands in food to its next stage of growth. Bachan’s is hiring a Director of Sales – Strategic Grocery to lead and grow some of our most important conventional grocery partnerships. This is a high-impact opportunity for an experienced CPG sales leader who knows how to build retailer relationships, create winning customer strategies, and turn brand momentum into sustainable growth. You’ll own a portfolio of strategic grocery customers that includes Kroger, Albertsons/Safeway, Ahold Delhaize, Wegmans, Wakefern, and Market Basket —leading the business from strategy through execution. What You’ll Own Build and execute customer strategies that drive revenue, distribution, assortment and profitability Develop strong relationships with retailer HQ teams, buyers, category managers and divisional leadership Identify opportunities to expand distribution, shelf presence, merchandising and new item placement Create compelling customer stories using category, consumer and shopper insights Own customer planning across trade investment, promotions, forecasting and profitability Use retailer and syndicated data to identify opportunities and improve business performance Lead new item sell-in and help expand Bachan’s into new categories and occasions Lead and hold broker partners accountable for execution and customer objectives Partner across Marketing, Sales Strategy & Insights, Finance, Supply Chain, Operations and Commercialization to deliver against customer commitments What We’re Looking For You’re a strategic sales leader who is also comfortable rolling up your sleeves and owning the details. Ideally, you bring: 7+ years of progressive CPG, food/beverage or consumer products sales experience Significant experience managing conventional grocery customers at the retailer HQ level Direct Albertsons/Safeway corporate, divisional and HQ experience 3+ years of broker management experience Strong experience with customer business planning, trade investment, forecasting and promotions A track record of growing accounts through distribution expansion, assortment growth and new item placement Strong commercial, financial, analytical and negotiation skills Experience using syndicated/customer data such as Circana, Nielsen, SPINS or 84.51° The ability to thrive in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial and high-growth environment Experience scaling an emerging, premium, natural, better-for-you or culturally relevant food brand is a big plus.
