Job Summary:

Seeking a PLC Engineer with strong controls, automation, test engineering, and manufacturing experience to support PLC/HMI systems, test equipment, electrical systems, troubleshooting, safety, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, select, troubleshoot, and maintain test equipment, PLCs, HMIs, and electrical systems.
• Develop testing protocols, equipment specifications, data collection systems, and electrical safety practices.
• Perform root cause and failure analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Support capital equipment selection, project planning, budgets, schedules, and cross-functional execution.
• Lead/support Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, cost-reduction, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support machine safety, OSHA compliance, MOC/change management, and process improvements.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, EHS, Operations, and suppliers.
• Maintain technical documentation and drive projects to successful completion.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Science, or related field.
• 3+ years of Controls, PLC, Automation, or Test Engineering experience.
• PLC/HMI programming and safety systems experience.
• Rockwell Automation: RSLogix 5/500/5000, Studio 5000, FactoryTalk View ME/SE.
• VB6/Visual Studio, SQL, Microsoft applications.
• NI LabVIEW and NI TestStand.
• Project management and electrical testing experience.

Preferred

• 5+ years of Controls/Test Engineering experience.
• Lean Six Sigma Green/Black Belt.
• Experience with 8D, A3, PFMEA, Pareto, control charts, and RCA.
• Knowledge of electrical equipment, continuous improvement, cost reduction, Kaizen, and MOC.
