Restaurant Group is looking for an Assistant General Manager to help lead our team and drive success at our Lawrence, Kansas location!

Day in the Life:

• Partner with the General Manager to oversee daily restaurant operations in a high-volume, full-service environment
• Support both front-of-house and back-of-house teams to ensure smooth, efficient service
• Assist with hiring, training, scheduling, and development of team members
• Ensure exceptional guest experiences through active floor presence and team engagement
• Help manage inventory, ordering, and cost controls to maintain profitability
• Maintain food quality, consistency, and adherence to brand standards
• Ensure cleanliness, sanitation, and organization across all areas of the restaurant
• Delegate tasks effectively and follow through to completion
• Provide coaching, feedback, and leadership to build a strong, motivated team
• Step into operational roles as needed to support service and maintain flow
• Maintain composure and professionalism during high-volume shifts

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role within the restaurant or hospitality industry required
• Strong leadership skills with a passion for coaching and team development
• Ability to support both front-of-house and back-of-house operations
• Solid understanding of restaurant financials, including labor and cost control
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Working knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, and P&L reports preferred
• Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays
