Surgical Skills Lab Coordinator The Surgical Skills Lab Coordinator partners with the Simulation Lab Manager, Clinical Coordinator, faculty, and other stakeholders to support skills-based education for DMU students. This role is responsible for preparing and coordinating lab sessions, setting up task trainers and simulation equipment, facilitating training activities, and ensuring courses are delivered effectively within the Skills Lab. Internal Medicine Faculty Member DMU is seeking a part-time academic Internal Medicine faculty member. The position would average 20 hours per week (0.5 FTE, averaged over the calendar year). The position reports to the Chair of the Primary Care – Academic department. This physician is responsible, along with the Primary Care faculty, for the provision of educational lectures, development and/or facilitation of laboratories, and other educational modalities to support the educational priorities of the department and University. Assistant Director of Annual Giving & Stewardship The Assistant Director of Annual Giving & Stewardship is responsible for creating a comprehensive stewardship and annual giving program designed to solicit and steward alumni, faculty, staff, students, and friends of Des Moines University Medicine & Health Sciences. Reporting to the Senior Director of Development & Alumni Relations and with collaboration with the Development & Alumni Relations staff, the Assistant Director is responsible for donor recognition and reporting to donors ensuring effective strategy, delivery and content accuracy. The Assistant Director will support the communication of both the value and the impact of each donor’s investment to the University in meaningful ways. The Assistant Director will be responsible for meeting annual fundraising goals for the DMU Fund and will lead the university’s annual 24 hour giving campaign, One Day for DMU. Faculty Member The faculty member is responsible for contributing to the University’s mission through excellence in teaching, research, and service. This role includes delivering high-quality instruction, developing a sustainable externally funded research program, and participating in institutional and professional service activities. Director of Undergraduate Clinical Affairs The Director of Undergraduate Clinical Affairs oversees the operations of the Clinical Affairs department, partnering with the Associate Dean to ensure high-quality clinical education experiences. This role oversees clinical documentation and tracking, supports Clerkship Directors, ensures compliance with academic and regulatory standards, and supervises the Clerkship Coordinator team. The Director serves as a liaison within DMU and with students, clinical partners, and accreditation agencies, reporting to the Associate Dean for Clinical Affairs. Recruitment and Admissions Specialist The Recruitment and Admissions Specialist is pivotal in shaping and growing enrollment. This role will seek out and build relationships both internally and with prospective students, candidates, advisors, parents, and other stakeholders. This role requires a deep understanding of graduate healthcare recruitment and admissions to matriculate students while adhering to policy and budget guidelines. An innovative mindset is critical to help navigate a high volume and dynamic environment. Revenue Cycle & Health Information Manager We are seeking a highly accountable, hands‑on Revenue Cycle & Health Information Manager to take full ownership of the financial performance and health information management functions of our multispecialty clinic. This is not a maintenance role. We need a strategic operator who can assess current revenue cycle gaps, identify root causes of revenue leakage, implement corrective systems, and drive measurable improvements in cash flow, accounts receivable, and collections. The ideal candidate is analytical and operational. This person must be willing to roll up their sleeves, rebuild workflows, hold staff accountable, and create transparent reporting that gives leadership real‑time visibility into financial performance. Manager of Clinical Services The Manager of Clinical Services provides operational leadership and administrative oversight for outpatient clinical service lines within the university health enterprise, including Family Medicine, Osteopathic Manual Medicine, Foot & Ankle, Diagnostic Imaging/X‑Ray, and future clinical programs. This role is responsible for optimizing clinic operations through effective scheduling, patient flow, staffing coordination, and workflow efficiency initiatives. The manager plays a key role in improving access to care, enhancing provider utilization, and supporting sustainable outpatient growth. This position functions as a working manager within a small, high‑collaboration team environment and requires active engagement in daily operational workflows. This position reports to the Director of Clinical Operations & Strategy. Associate Director of Research Programs and Compliance Under the general direction of the Director of Research Operations, Compliance and Strategy, the Associate Director of Research Programs and Compliance supports the coordination and administration of research services and compliance functions across the university. This position contributes to the development and implementation of research compliance initiatives, health and safety programs, and activities related to laboratory and animal facility operations. The role assists in ensuring adherence to federal, state, sponsor, and institutional requirements governing research activities, including IBC, Radiation Safety, IACUC and IRB. Responsibilities include participation in delivering compliance training, supporting risk mitigation efforts, and providing scientific merit and science‑related review to assess protocol alignment with regulatory, safety, and institutional quality expectations. Department Chair / Program Director for PsyD The Department Chair / Program Director for the Doctor of Psychology in Clinical Psychology (PsyD) at Des Moines University Medicine and Health Sciences is a leadership role within the College of Health Sciences (CHS). This position is responsible for shaping and leading a doctoral degree program. Reporting to the CHS Dean, the PsyD Chair oversees curriculum development and program assessment, and engages in teaching and mentoring activities. The PsyD Chair is responsible for managing the allocation of faculty time, administering the program budget, and ensuring the educational and financial strength of the program. The Chair represents the PsyD program within the College and University organizational structure. Grants Manager – Research Development The Grants Manager – Research Development plays a key role in supporting and advancing the University’s externally funded research portfolio. Psychiatric Care Provider Provide high‑quality, evidence‑based psychiatric care to adult patients within an academic behavioral health clinic under the supervision of a board‑certified psychiatrist. Deliver comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and medication management, and facilitate group medical visits as assigned. Contribute to the education and mentorship of health profession students while supporting a collaborative, patient‑centered model of care. Content Marketing Intern Des Moines University Medicine and Health Sciences is seeking an undergraduate Content Marketing Intern to support DMU’s strategic digital presence and execution across social platforms. This role is ideal for students interested in social media, digital content creation and storytelling — particularly within higher education and health care. The intern will contribute to digital storytelling efforts that elevate awareness of DMU’s academic programs, campus experience, community impact and institutional brand, while working closely with the Marketing and Communications team to support broader communications goals. The position is 4‑6 hours per week or determined by student’s program requirements. The position is on‑site and is eligible for academic credit, as the position is unpaid. Human Simulation (HS) Educator The Human Simulation (HS) Educator participates in a wide array of activities associated with the HS Lab. They coordinate the logistical design of the event, working in collaboration with course directors to create or improve assessment and testing materials used in testing encounters. Train and educate Simulated Patients (SPs) for specific cases according to curricular requirements and standards of best practice. Ensure consistent training of SPs, monitor SP performances by completing quality assurance, provide appropriate and constructive feedback and coaching. Leads, coordinates, manages, and contributes to testing events, practicums, and other types of events taking place in the department.
