Hours: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
On-Call: Participation in an on-call rotation may be required

About River Terrace Healthcare Center

River Terrace Healthcare Center is seeking an organized and detail-oriented Nursing Scheduler to join our skilled nursing team in Bluffton, IN. This important administrative role helps support quality resident care by ensuring proper staffing coverage and efficient coordination of the nursing schedule.

Position Details

• Status: Full-Time

• Schedule: Monday – Friday (flexibility required)

• Compensation: Pay rate negotiable based on experience

• On-Call: Must be available to assist with staffing coverage as needed

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, publish, and maintain monthly nursing staff schedules

• Manage daily schedule changes, call-offs, and shift coverage needs

• Approve shift trades as delegated by the Director of Nursing (DON)

• Track and document call-offs, tardiness, early arrivals, and attendance trends

• Collaborate with Human Resources to ensure attendance policies are applied consistently

• Prepare and submit accurate payroll-related reports within required deadlines

• Provide staffing reports to the Director of Nursing, Administrator, and leadership team including:

  • Current staffing levels

  • Open shifts and vacancies

  • Agency staffing usage

• Assist with coordinating coverage for open shifts, including on-call responsibilities when necessary

• Maintain organized staffing records and ensure compliance with facility policies

• Effectively multitask and prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced healthcare environment

Qualifications

• Previous scheduling experience required (healthcare setting strongly preferred)

• Strong computer and technical skills required

• Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and meet deadlines

• Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills

• High attention to detail and accuracy
