Assistant/Associate Professor of Clinical Surgery (Thoracic Surgery)

Overview The Division of Thoracic Surgery in the Department of Surgery at the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California is recruiting a faculty member to be a board certified/board eligible (or equivalent) Assistant/Associate Professor of Clinical Surgery. Responsibilities Clinical duties including general thoracic surgery and participation in lung transplantation. Teaching and mentorship of residents, fellows, and medical students. Administrative responsibilities within the Division of Thoracic Surgery. Research activities aligned with the Division’s goals. Coverage of other hospitals in greater Los Angeles and surrounding areas as required. Qualifications Board Certified or Board Eligible in Thoracic Surgery (or equivalent status if outside the United States). Advanced skills in thoracic surgery, including minimally invasive approaches (thoracoscopic, robotic, uniportal) for lung, mediastinal, esophageal, and chest wall operations. Willingness and ability to perform lung transplant procedures primarily at Keck Medical Center. Strong communication and teamwork skills for multidisciplinary care.
