Pay: $215K - $255K 

Location: Hybrid Remote - Los Angeles 

Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated Labor & Employment Attorney to join our litigation team. The ideal candidate will manage a diverse caseload of employment-related disputes, including wage-and-hour claims, wrongful termination matters, and labor law disputes. This role combines courtroom advocacy, case strategy, client counseling, and risk management to achieve favorable outcomes for our clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Represent clients in state and federal courts, administrative agencies, and arbitration proceedings, including trial preparation and courtroom advocacy.
• Handle all phases of employment litigation: intake, investigation, discovery, motion practice, pretrial preparation, settlement negotiations, and trial.
• Draft and file pleadings, motions, briefs, settlement agreements, and other litigation documents with precision and persuasive legal writing.
• Advise employers and/or employees on compliance with federal and state labor and employment laws, internal policies, and risk mitigation strategies.
• Conduct factual and legal investigations, interview witnesses, prepare witness statements and exhibits, and manage e-discovery.
• Develop case strategy and work collaboratively with senior attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to meet deadlines and budgetary targets.
• Manage multiple matters and client relationships, providing regular case updates, cost estimates, and strategic recommendations.
• Supervise and mentor junior attorneys and paralegals; review work product and provide constructive feedback.
• Participate in business development and professional networking activities, including CLEs, client presentations, and community outreach.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and active bar admission in the hiring jurisdiction.
• 3+ years of litigation experience with a focus on labor and employment law; candidates with 5+ years and substantial trial experience preferred.
• Proven experience handling Wage and Hour claims, Wrongful Termination cases, Labor Law matters, and other Employment Law disputes.
• Demonstrated trial experience, including conducting hearings, trials, or arbitrations and effective courtroom advocacy.
• Strong employment litigation skills: discovery, motion practice, drafting persuasive briefs, and settlement negotiations.
• Excellent legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills; attention to detail and ability to communicate complex legal concepts clearly to clients.
• Ability to manage a high-volume caseload, prioritize tasks, and meet competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience supervising or mentoring junior attorneys and working collaboratively in team-based practice.
• Professionalism, strong client-service orientation, and ethical judgment; commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
• Willingness to travel as needed for depositions, hearings, or trials; familiarity with electronic case management and e-discovery tools.
