Position Profile Assist the Guest Services Manager by overseeing the responsibilities of the guest service staff. Ensure that the guests are being serviced in a professional and competent manner. Smile and greet customers in a welcoming manner, as the first point of contact. Essential Responsibilities Perform and assist with all front desk functions, including but not limited to Guest Service Aide, PBX Operator, Guest Service Agent, and Reservationists. Use the software system for daily transactions and reservations operations. Know how and where to post all charges and all room rates. Train new Guest Service Agents. Communicate with Engineering regarding maintenance requests from guests. Check AM and PM discrepancy reports. Communicate with Housekeeping regarding guest rooms and requests. Issue safety deposit boxes to guests when requested. Maintain a safe work environment by following all safety and security procedures and rules. Assist the Guest Services Manager in proper staffing levels by preparing weekly schedules and maintaining documentation (time cards, disciplinary procedures, reviews, etc.). Handle special requests, group blocking, and unusual circumstances. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Excellent computer and cash handling skills. Present a sociable, outgoing, lively, and guest‑service oriented behavior. Communicate information and hotel services to management, staff, and guests. Physical Demands Ability to stand for extended periods of time. Lift, pull, push, bend, and move items to support the hotel and outlets.
