Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough preliminary interviews with clients, documenting their cases from the initial consultation to the conclusion of treatment.

• Evaluate clients’ mental, behavioral, and emotional health through comprehensive assessments and structured psychological evaluations.
\n
• Develop customized intervention and recovery plans tailored to individuals, couples, families, and groups based on their specific needs and goals.
\n
• Facilitate engaging and effective individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing appropriate therapeutic techniques and interventions.
\n
• Monitor client progress continuously throughout treatment and adjust plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
\n
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including other mental health specialists, psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers, to create integrated care plans.
\n
• Provide follow-ups on clients admitted to the hospital, ensuring continuity of care and support through collaboration with attending physicians.
\n
• Identify and proactively manage behaviors that impede recovery, working with clients and their families to build resilience and coping strategies.

• Assist family members and primary caregivers in understanding mental health challenges and offer guidance on effective support strategies.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our clientele encompasses a wide range of mental health needs, including anxiety, depression, PTSD, and relationship issues, among others. Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Active and valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in California.

• Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts to a variety of audiences.

• Ability to build positive relationships with clients and colleagues, demonstrating empathy and support throughout the therapeutic process.

Preferred Experience\n

• Previous experience in a mental health counselor role, particularly in a telehealth or remote setting.

• Proficient use of electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR, or similar platforms.

• Experience working with clients facing dual diagnoses, including addiction disorders and underlying physical health conditions.

• Familiarity with the best practices outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

• Comprehensive understanding of psychotropic medications and their impact on mental health recovery.
