SAP Support Specialist

Job Description Richard Wolf Medical Instruments Corporation is currently seeking an SAP Support Specialist II for our Vernon Hills office. The SAP Support Specialist will provide first-class, team- and results-oriented customer service to key users and end users; supporting them in their day-to-day activities within SAP modules and SAP-attached applications. This position reports administratively to the Revenue Accounting & IS Manager, as well as functionally to the SAP Support Specialist Level III for direction on day-to-day activities. REQUIREMENTS AND RESPONSIBILITES: Applies systems analysis techniques and procedures to ensure maximum uptime for SAP users. Involved with hardware-, software- and systems functional specifications for SAP Hana and attached applications, such as CRM systems, external sales portals and the like. Analyses, tests and resolves technical issues with SAP and SAP-attached applications, including prototypes and new version releases. Works closely with the SAP Support Specialist Level III for timely and satisfactory completion of assigned tasks. Works closely with SAP Support Specialist Level III for troubleshooting and resolving error messages, handle proper user authorization, and discussion solutions as it pertains to general problem solving for RWMIC SAP modules. The ability to research and answer questions using available resources is essential. Responsible for the development and revision of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to generation of reports. Assists with initial and ongoing individual training as well as functional cross training of team members on all SAP modules and SAP-attached applications. Responsible for tracking and documenting requests, user interactions and resolutions by using a “service ticket” in the IT software program. ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for monthly activity reports about user activity, problems, new developments, and ad hoc SAP developments. Aware of and comply with the RWMIC Quality Manual and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position. Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines. Other duties as assigned by Revenue Accounting & IS Manager. QUALIFICATIONS: (ONLY QUALIFIED CANDIDATES WILL BE CONSIDERED) B.A. or B.S. in technical or business field required. Minimum of 5 years working knowledge of fundamental operations of WM(Warehouse Management), MM(Materials Management) and SAP Hana software modules. Will consider formal training in these areas. Advanced skills with MS Office products, specifically Excel and Pivot tables Knowledge of business processes in the manufacturing environment necessary. Strong knowledge in/experience with best practices in customer service. Ability to adapt to changing schedules and multiple work plans; extremely organized and flexible. High tolerance of stressful situations. Team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work effectively independent as well as part of a team. Experience with and understanding of cross-cultural differences and the ability to work within this environment is crucial for successful employment.
