Branch ReceptionistTyler Branch - Tyler, TX 75703OverviewSalary Range $35,000.00 - $45,000.00 Salary Position Type Full Time Job Shift Day Education Level High School Travel Percentage None Category Commercial Lines SupportDescriptionSUMMARY:The Receptionist answers the telephone, greets clients and visitors, receives and transmits messages, and maintains the agency's professional image with callers and visitors.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Handle incoming calls and visitors, provide assistance and information as required, and connect callers/visitors with the desired party in a friendly, courteous, and cheerful manner. Also maintains the in and out log and the Welcome Board. Answer client inquiries or direct the inquiry to the person best able to handleDistribute incoming fax messages. Record and forward accurate messages. Retrieve overnight messagesType correspondence, reports, and other documents as requestedSend outgoing faxes as requestedPerform all actions relating to the public, customers, and companies in a manner that will avoid issues involving potential errors and omissionsParticipate in seminars and other training for knowledge and skill developmentPerform other duties as requestedQualificationsKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:Ability to operate a multi-line telephone systemMust have a neat and professional appearance and demonstrate effective telephone etiquetteShould be friendly, courteous, organized, and enjoy interfacing with peopleMust have good communication skillsGood computer skills (MS Office suite)Must be a team player and be willing to find win-win solutions for our customers, companies, and agenciesQUALIFICATIONS:Prior office experience with a multi-line telephone systemHigh School diploma or equivalentAdherence to Company policies and proceduresAbility to fulfill job responsibilities through acceptable attendanceWORKING CONDITIONS AND REASONABLE ACCOMMODATIONS:Fast-paced, multi-tasking, office environment with periodic high disruption and changing prioritiesAbility to perform approximately 80% sedentary work, exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and negligible force frequentlyAbility to lift up to 20 pounds occasionallyRequires operation of a computer workstation, including keyboard and video displayAll requirements may be modified to reasonably accommodate physical or mental impairment INSURICA
