Medical Assistant Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated entry level or experienced individual to join our clinical staff as a medical assistant working alongside our physician anesthesia staff.  As part of our team, you'll assist physicians and surgical facilities in confirming appointments, communicating with patients pre-operatively and starting IV's and assisting in patient airway support. This position requires the candidate to pay close attention to detail, have excellent patient and phone etiquette, work with a pediatric population as well as parents of patients and a working knowledge of common medical terminology. Our ideal candidate has prior experience, especially in a medical setting, coupled with organizational and communication skills. 

Medical Assistant/Phlebotomist Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist physicians with clinical procedures while caring for pediatric anesthesia patients
• Answer and field patient questions and assist patients and surgical facilities with clinical procedures.
• Help to set up procedure rooms for cases
• Processing credit card payments remotely

Medical Assistant/Phlebotomist Requirements and Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED certificate
• Knowledge of common medical terminology
• Prior experience, ideally in a medical clinic environment
• Bilingualism (English/Spanish) a strong plus
• Excellent communication skills and phone etiquette
