Travel Nurse RN - PCU

Minimum Experience: 1 year; 1st Timers are accepted

Patient Population: Adolescents to Geriatrics

Certifications Required: BLS, ACLS, NIH

General Skills and Work Setting Requirements: No block scheduling; neuro/stroke PCU floor, respiratory, cardiac, mixed medical, titrating cardiac drips required with continuous telemetry monitoring; assignments will be PCU level patients.

Ratio / Census: Ratio: 1:4; 36 beds with average daily census of 30

Unit Systems: Epic, Pyxis, SBAR

Scrub Color: Navy Blue

RTO: MAX 7 days

RTO Blackout Dates: Spring Break (April 4th-12th)

Weekends: Every other weekend unless specified elsewhere

Floating: Yes, within facility/scope of practice as needed

Call Requirements: None

Holidays: If one major holiday falls in his/her assignment period, the traveler is expected to work it. If two major holidays fall in his/her assignment period, the traveler is expected to work both of the holidays. If three major holidays fall in his/her assignment period, the traveler is expected to work two of the holidays. Major holidays are listed below:

• Independence Day
• Labor Day
• Thanksgiving/Black Friday
• Christmas Eve/Christmas Day
• New Years Eve/New Years Day

Compliance: Full compliance required to start on time; if not compliant in time the push back is 2 weeks due to bi-weekly orientation schedule.

Please Note: Number of Non-Billable Orientation (NBO) Hours is determined by contract length (ex 8hrs for 8 week assignment; 19hrs for 19 week assignment)
