Position: Sterile Processing Technician

Shift: Day 5x8-Hour (07:00 AM - 03:30 PM)

Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Sterile Processing Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience working in an acute hospital operating room and possess the necessary certifications for the role.

Responsibilities

Perform sterilization and cleaning of surgical instruments and equipment
Utilize biological and chemical indicators for sterilization verification
Document equipment maintenance and sterilization processes
Participate in high-level disinfection and immediate-use steam sterilization procedures
Assemble instrument sets and trays for surgical procedures
Ensure proper selection and handling of wrapping materials
Maintain compliance with sterilization monitoring procedures

Qualifications

Certifications: CBSPD or IAHCSMM required
Minimum 2 years of experience in acute hospital settings
Experience with equipment documentation and cleaning protocols
Familiarity with neuro, neurology, and orthopedic procedures
Valid compact license (must be in hand at submission)

Additional Information

Local candidates within a 50-mile radius are not eligible, while candidates from other facilities may be considered for travel contracts if they have been separated for at least three months. Active compact licenses are honored at all facilities.

Work Schedule

Standard shifts: 5 days a week, 8 hours per day
Orientation Hours: 40
Must commit to working a minimum of 3 of 5 holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
