Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 hours (07:00 - 15:30) Experience: Minimum 1 year required in an acute hospital setting License: Valid compact license required Certifications: CBSPD or IAHCSMM Must-Have: - Experience in Acute Client Operating Room - Knowledge of biological indicators and chemical indicators - Proficient in cleaning equipment including crash carts, IV pumps, and PCA pumps - Skilled in equipment documentation, high-level disinfection, and immediate-use steam sterilization - Familiarity with neuro/crani, neurology, orthopedics, and proper selection of wrapping materials - Experience with sets/trays assembly and steam sterilization testing/monitoring - Understanding of sterilization wrapping procedures and the use of washers/sterilizers

Description: The Sterile Processing Tech is responsible for ensuring that all surgical instruments and equipment are properly cleaned, sterilized, and ready for use. The tech will work as part of a surgical team to maintain high standards of sterile processing. Attention to detail is crucial in assembling sets and trays for various surgical procedures. The role requires knowledge of sterilization techniques and safety standards to prevent contamination. Collaboration with other healthcare professionals is essential to ensure patient safety and the effectiveness of surgical operations. This position may involve floating between different facilities as needed. Flexibility to work on holidays and weekends is required. Candidates must have all required certifications and meet experience qualifications.
