GL Accountant

Accountant Position

Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking an Accountant to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary of $75,000 to $85,000 per year.

Job Responsibilities:

• Record monthly journal entries and ensure accuracy in general ledger postings.
• Prepare financial statements and assist with monthly reporting and analysis.
• Compile financial packages for internal stakeholders, including branch leadership and board members.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and monitor cash deposits daily.
• Support tax reporting by preparing sales tax filings, CRV reports, and property statements.

Requirements:

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple accounting tasks with minimal supervision.
• Proficient in using automated accounting systems and online banking platforms.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret financial data and identify discrepancies.
• Intermediate Excel proficiency, including functions like pivot tables and VLOOKUPs.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and timely reporting.

Qualifications:

• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a closely related discipline.
• Prior experience in general ledger accounting and financial reporting.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for internal and external collaboration.
• Comfortable working in a team environment and providing coverage for related roles.
• Familiarity with fixed asset tracking and depreciation systems.
