A rapidly growing developer/operator in the hyperscale and mission-critical infrastructure space is seeking a Vice President of Preconstruction to lead and scale the enterprise preconstruction function across a large portfolio of next-generation data center developments.

This is a highly strategic executive leadership role responsible for defining the operating model, procurement strategy, budgeting standards, delivery philosophy, and leadership structure for preconstruction across the organization. The individual will serve as the senior accountable voice for preconstruction to executive leadership and play a critical role in scaling large-scale AI-ready and hyperscale infrastructure projects across the portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own enterprise-wide preconstruction strategy, execution standards, and operational scalability across multiple hyperscale / mission-critical developments

• Lead budgeting, cost modeling, scheduling, procurement strategy, and construction readiness across the full development pipeline

• Build and lead the preconstruction leadership bench, including Directors, Senior Directors, PMs, and specialist teams

• Oversee strategic sourcing, vendor relationships, subcontractor engagement, and long-lead procurement strategy at enterprise scale

• Define construction sequencing and delivery strategy across concurrent programs to optimize speed-to-market, risk, and cost

• Establish enterprise standards for scopes of work, bid packages, RFPs, handoff procedures, and preconstruction deliverables

• Partner closely with engineering, development, finance, sales, and construction leadership to align technical execution with commercial objectives

• Provide executive-level reporting on project readiness, procurement health, portfolio risk, and delivery strategy

• Drive organizational design, operational improvements, and scalable processes to support long-term growth

Ideal Background:

• 15+ years of experience in preconstruction, estimating, or construction leadership within data center, industrial, or mission-critical infrastructure environments

• Proven experience owning or scaling a preconstruction function at enterprise level

• Strong command of civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical systems

• Deep experience with procurement strategy, contractor mobilization, scheduling, and large-scale infrastructure delivery

• Executive-level communication skills with experience interfacing directly with leadership, finance, and board-level stakeholders

• Experience leading large teams and making high-level operational and talent decisions
