Details Work on a 20-bed inpatient overflow unit with mixed level of care, including medical surgical and step-down patients Unit serves as a Clinical Decision Unit with short stay patients (less than 24-hour length of stay) and quick turnover Day shift staffing includes 1 charge nurse, 4 RNs, and 2 CNAs; night shift staffing is the same Patient ratios of 1:5 or 1:6 depending on level of care All telemetry patients are hardwired to bedside monitors Uses Cerner EMR Shift hours are 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM Every other weekend required with no on-call responsibilities Floating to other units required as needed Requirements Active RN license (NC or Compact) currently in hand Current BLS and ACLS certifications required Minimum 2 years of RN experience required Telemetry competency required Progressive care unit experience required Recent progressive care experience preferred US SSN and DOB required for consideration No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months Additional Information Provide nursing care to a mixed patient population including medical surgical and step-down level patients Work in a fast-paced environment with frequent patient turnover Facility holds Magnet Designation and is recognized as a top hospital nationally for clinical quality and patient safety Dress code requires navy and/or white scrub tops with navy bottoms, or all white attire Best fit for candidates with a positive attitude, patient experience focus, kindness, compassion, and strong teamwork skills Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; no local candidates will be considered American Traveler Job ID P-744973.
