Host/Busser (Tide to Table)

Overview As a Host/Hostess, you will warmly greet guests as they arrive, manage waitlists, guide guests to their tables, and assist with to-go orders. You will also answer customer inquiries, maintain a clean and welcoming lobby, and ensure an excellent first impression for every guest. The pay rate for this position will be $14 to $16 per hour plus tips. Responsibilities Host/Hostess responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Greeting guests politely and enthusiastically as they enter the restaurant Prepares dining room for servers by cleaning and clothing tables; setting silverware, condiments, etc... Maintains menu presentation by keeping menus clean; replacing damaged or soiled pages Maintains table setting by removing courses as completed; replenishing utensils; refilling water glasses; being alert to server spills or other needs Courteously and consciously guiding guests to their assigned tables Monitoring guest waiting lists and estimating guest wait times Politely answering the telephone and responding to customer questions Taking and assembling any To-Go orders, both on the telephone and in person Ensuring the cleanliness of the restaurant lobby, as well as the restrooms Supports wait staff by setting-up and replenishing condiment stands, trash containers liners, and bus stations Clearing off and preparing for next guests in a timely and professional manner Maintains dining facility by cleaning chairs and tables; sweeping and/or vacuuming floors; removing trash and recyclables Other duties as assigned Qualifications What are we looking for? Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality business, team members may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the resort, including weekends and holidays Passion for providing exceptional service to guests and team members Proven job reliability, diligence, dedication, and attention to detail Teamwork and collaboration Must be able to communicate clearly and professionally with guests, coworkers and supervisors What can you look forward to?
