Associate Professor of Clinical - OBGYN, Gynecology Oncology

Position Overview Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center at the University of Miami Hospital and Clinics is seeking Board Eligible/Board Certified Gynecologic Oncologists at the Assistant or Associate Professor rank to join our division of five board certified gynecologic oncologists, a benign gynecologist, a PhD researcher, six faculty nurse‑clinicians, and four fellows in sub‑specialty training. The positions are available immediately. Clinical work will be performed at the main academic campus, Jackson Memorial Hospital, and surrounding community practice sites. The division is an academic, evidence‑based clinical practice with ample opportunities for clinical and translational research, teaching of medical students, residents, and fellows, and mentorship opportunities from senior faculty. Junior faculty will be paired with a mentoring committee. The positions include protected research time, startup research funds, full nurse‑practitioner support, leadership opportunities in the fellowship program, and dedicated operating room block time on day 1. Education & Training Requirements Completion of a 4‑year ACGME residency in Obstetrics & Gynecology and an ABOG/ACGME approved fellowship in Gynecologic Oncology is required. Teaching of medical students, residents, and fellows will be expected, as will participation in the Division’s research efforts. Recent graduates are encouraged to apply. Core Qualifications and Certifications Board Certified/Board Eligible in Obstetrics & Gynecology and subspecialty board eligible in Gynecologic Oncology. Licensing & Credentialing Certification in relevant specialty or field required. Active Florida Medical License & DEA. Credentialing needed. Minimum Requirements Candidate must have an MD/DO and be BE/BC in Obstetrics & Gynecology and subspecialty board eligible in Gynecologic Oncology. Must hold or be eligible for a full, unrestricted Florida Medical license. Knowledge, Skills and Attitudes Ability to maintain effective interpersonal relationships. Department Specific Functions and Responsibilities Develop personalized treatment plans for reproductive cancer diagnoses. Faculty will have daily interaction and teaching opportunities with resident and medical students. All candidates should be dedicated to high‑quality patient care, exemplary teaching, and research productivity. Primary clinical responsibilities include inpatient and outpatient Gynecologic Oncology practice at the UMMSOM and Jackson Health System sites; direct care of gynecologic oncology patients; consultation for hospitalized patients on the GYO service; and consultation for non‑service unit patients by telephone.
