Service Manager

Salary Range: $65,000.00 To $100,000.00 Annually Pay: $65,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year Job Overview We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Automotive Service Manager to oversee our service department and ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and a passion for automotive repair, along with excellent leadership skills to manage a team of service technicians. This role is crucial in maintaining operational efficiency while providing exceptional service to our customers. Responsibilities Manage daily operations of the service department, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality service delivery. Supervise and mentor service technicians, providing guidance on automotive diagnostics and repair techniques. Handle customer inquiries and complaints, ensuring a positive experience through effective customer service. Oversee the scheduling of repairs and maintenance services, optimizing technician workloads. Conduct auto estimating for repairs and parts, ensuring accuracy in pricing and service recommendations. Maintain accurate records of services performed, parts used, and customer interactions. Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations within the service area. Collaborate with sales teams to promote services and products to customers. Manage cash handling procedures within the department. Requirements Proven experience in automotive repair, with a strong background in diesel engine repair preferred. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients. Strong mechanical knowledge, particularly in areas such as shocks, struts, and general automotive diagnostics. Experience in managing or leading a team of service technicians is highly desirable. Proficiency in auto estimating software and tools used for diagnostics and repairs. Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and responsibly. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. A valid driver's license is required.
