Massage Therapist Shift Lead (Nights and Weekends)
Massage Heights, Kingston, NY

DAYS AND HOURS REQUIREMENTS
Must work Nights and Weekends (32-35 hours per week)
Monday 3-9
Tuesday 3-9
Wednesday 3-9
Friday 3-9
Sunday 10-6

RATE
Starts at $45 per Service hour and can increase to $65 per Service hour based on performance and request rate.(Tiered growth)
Hourly Service rate can increase to $55 per hour, after the therapist is requested 70% for 2 months consistently (needs to work at least 25 service hours per week, (nights and weekends)
Hourly Service rate can increase to $65 per hour, after the therapist is requested 85% for 2 months consistently (needs to work at least 25 service hours per week, (nights and weekends)
$25 per Management hour (up to 4 hours per week)
Weekly rate $1,440-$2,275 plus gratuities

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Create a positive Team environment. The Massage Therapist Shift Lead roles and responsibilities include those of the Therapists.
Directly supervise and be accountable for all aspects of Back End Operations. Includes ongoing Operations and Management
Address and resolve all customer and team member concerns promptly
Create an environment that is passionate about providing guest service.
Lead by example: achieve personal as well as team goals.
Manages the recruiting, interviewing and hiring of Massage Therapists aligned with the Lead Massage Therapist.
Develop and Manage Massage Therapist job postings. Screen, interview and assist with hiring MTs. Assess the ongoing need for appropriate MT positions required. Continually develop a pipeline of therapists right out of school.
Develop Relationships with local MT schools. Represent at Job Fairs and nurture relationships. The goal is to develop a pipeline of Therapists right out of school.
Coach Team Members to achieve peak performance.
Support Massage Therapists with Bi-monthly team meetings to review retreat focus, areas of growth. These meetings should be fun and energizing with the outcome to create an energized and engaged team.
Support MT Onboarding. This includes setting up system access and updates.
Perform training for new employees.
Assess and perform training for all MTs, including Massage Heights corporate policies and procedures. This effort needs to be performed ongoing where any gaps may exist or to create consistency and sustainability in the retreat.
Train therapists on existing and upcoming Elevations. This could be built into Monthly Meetings.
Implement creative skill training ideas.

QUALIFICATIONS
| Minimum 2 years of management\lead experience
| Highly motivated team-player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
| Strong leadership and excellent organizational skills
| People oriented with strong customer service and public relations skills
| Proven track record in achieving sales and service goals
| Working knowledge of computers and standard software
| Available to work varied hours/weekends, evenings, holidays etc.
| Experience in training, coaching, and conflict resolution a plus
| Comply with local and state licensing laws and regulations
| Carry personal liability insurance
| Hold current New York state license to practice massage therapy
| Be guest service oriented and able to communicate effectively with guests
| Capable of at least deep tissue, Swedish and maternity massage modalities
| Be a team player
| Believe in regular massage therapy as part of a healthy lifestyle
| Pass background check

| NOTE: Set up 4 hours of Management time available possibly 30 or 60 minutes spread over 4 shifts. Management hours are compensated at $25 per hour.
