Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist at Anchorage Counseling Center, you will be responsible for the following:

• Conducting assessment sessions with couples and families to identify mental health needs and therapeutic goals.

• Facilitating joint therapy sessions aimed at improving communication and resolving conflicts, while also offering individual therapy sessions as required.
\n
• Developing actionable treatment plans that address issues such as relationship dynamics, grief, trauma, substance abuse, and family transitions.
\n
• Utilizing therapeutic modalities suited to your client's needs, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and systemic family therapy approaches.
\n
• Tracking client progress and adjusting treatment plans based on their evolving needs and responses to therapy.
\n
• Documenting therapy sessions comprehensively to maintain accurate and confidential clinical records.
\n
• Participating in regular case reviews and team meetings to share insights and enhance interdisciplinary collaboration.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with a diverse patient population, addressing a wide range of issues, including:

• Alcohol abuse and addiction recovery.
\n
• Physical and psychological abuse recovery.
\n
• Grief and loss processing.
\n
• Conflict resolution among family members and siblings.
\n
• Adjustment issues related to separation and divorce, including his/her family dynamics.

• Support for blended families and the challenges of remarriage.
\n
• Communication difficulties between family members, particularly in parent-child relationships.

Qualifications\n

To be successful in this role, you must meet the following qualifications:

• A current and valid state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
\n
• A Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field.
\n
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to establish trust and rapport with clients.
\n
• Empathy, nonjudgmental perspective, and sensitivity to clients' personal experiences and challenges.

• Exceptional organizational and time-management abilities to balance a varied caseload.

Preferred Experience\n

While not mandatory, candidates with the following experiences will have an advantage:

• Previous experience providing teletherapy or remote counseling, especially in an outpatient setting.

Compensation and Benefits\n
