Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - Progressive Care Unit

Our organization in San Antonio is looking for a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Progressive Care Unit (PCU). This role involves providing high-quality, evidence-based care to patients who are medically stable but require complex management as they transition from the ICU or step-down units.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient assessments.
• Monitor cardiac activity and telemetry.
• Administer medications and IV treatments.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Ensure timely and accurate documentation in the electronic health record (EHR).
• Collaborate effectively with physicians and the interdisciplinary team.
• Educate patients and their families on care processes.
• Assist in planning for safe patient discharges.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse license.
• Experience in a progressive care or critical care setting is preferred.
• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Working Conditions
