Compensation: $39.50–$44.00 per hour
Schedule: 40 hours per week | Monday–Friday
Weekend Rotation: Yes

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join a collaborative rehabilitation team in Waterville, Maine.

This skilled nursing facility provides a comprehensive continuum of care, including post-hospital rehabilitation, short-term therapy, long-term care, and respite services . The team is committed to helping individuals recover from illness or injury while supporting their independence, quality of life, and long-term well-being.

As an SLP, you’ll have the opportunity to work closely with residents, families, nursing staff, and fellow rehabilitation professionals to provide meaningful, individualized care. Whether helping a patient regain safe swallowing skills, improve communication, or maintain cognitive function, your expertise will have a direct impact on each resident’s recovery and daily life.

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of residents with speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders

• Develop individualized treatment plans based on each resident’s clinical needs and goals

• Provide skilled speech-language therapy and monitor progress throughout treatment

• Address dysphagia and swallowing safety through appropriate assessment and intervention

• Provide cognitive-communication and language therapy when clinically indicated

• Educate residents, families, caregivers, and staff regarding communication and swallowing strategies

• Collaborate with nursing, dietary, therapy, and other members of the interdisciplinary team

• Participate in care planning and discharge planning as appropriate

• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation

• Adjust treatment approaches based on resident response and progress

• Advocate for resident safety, independence, and quality of life

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program

• Current or eligible Maine SLP licensure

• ASHA certification or eligibility for certification preferred

• Strong clinical, communication, and organizational skills

• Ability to work effectively with an interdisciplinary team
