Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)

Compensation: $38–$48 per hour
Schedule: 30 hours per week | Monday–Friday
Weekend Rotation: None
Setting: 60-Bed Skilled Nursing Facility

Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join a supportive 60-bed skilled nursing facility in Waterville, Maine. This is an excellent opportunity for an SLP looking for a consistent weekday schedule, a manageable caseload, and the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of residents.

With a Monday–Friday schedule and no weekend rotation, this position offers a strong balance between rewarding clinical work and personal time.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents with speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders

• Develop individualized treatment plans based on clinical needs and goals

• Provide skilled speech-language therapy and monitor patient progress

• Collaborate with nursing, therapy, and other members of the interdisciplinary team

• Educate residents, families, and caregivers on treatment strategies and recommendations

• Complete required documentation accurately and timely

• Participate in care planning and contribute to positive patient outcomes

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program

• Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure in Maine

• ASHA certification or eligibility preferred

• Strong communication, clinical, and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary team
