Youth Development Center Director - YMCA of Greater Richmond

Seeking a Youth Development Center Director to lead our child-care and camp programs at the YMCA locations in the Greater Richmond area. Job Description As the Youth Development Center Director, you'll play a vital role in shaping high-quality programming and building strong relationships with children, families, staff, and school partners. Your responsibilities will include: Designing, planning, and implementing engaging, age-appropriate developmental programs Overseeing day-to-day operations of the child care center Supervising and mentoring on-site staff Creating a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for school-age children Building strong relationships with children and families and serving as a key point of communication Collaborating with school officials and YMCA leadership Ensuring compliance with Virginia DOE licensing requirements and YMCA quality standards Managing site safety, equipment, and facilities Attending and leading required child care trainings Supporting program administration, budgeting, and staffing needs Qualifications We're looking for a confident, compassionate leader who is ready to make a difference.
