Registered Nurse, Part-time 24-hour, Nights 7p -7a, ED, Atlantic Health Morristown Medical Center

Job Description Provides direct patient care, coordinates treatment plans, collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to ensure quality outcomes, maintains clinical documentation, adheres to safety protocols, and supports patient education and advocacy. Responsibilities Perform systematic, comprehensive patient assessments; assess discharge needs, monitor medication effects, document pain levels, and provide interventions. Demonstrate competent clinical skills: perform nursing‑related activities, critically analyze situations, maintain documentation, identify goals, complete interdisciplinary care records, participate in rounds, evaluate intervention effectiveness, and respond to patient/family reactions. Communicate clearly and effectively with healthcare team, complete hand‑off communication, and give comprehensive reports. Apply critical thinking and time management, assume responsibility for safe patient care, delegate appropriately, conduct patient rounds, participate in daily huddles, and use approved communication tools such as Vocera. Adhere to OSHA, Joint Commission, nursing standards, NJ Board of Nursing, ANA code of ethics, hand‑washing protocols, isolation precautions, equipment use, leadership, and shared governance. Qualifications BSN preferred; education from accredited institution. 2–3 years of ED or acute care experience. BLS required; ACLS required before ED orientation; PALS completion within one year of hire (pediatrics exception). Valid NJ RN license or compact license.
