Must-Have:
Experience with fresh open heart post-op patients
Transplant experience
Experience with Aquadex (renal replacement therapy), Impella, ECMO
EPIC experience
Ability/Competency to float to PICU discussed during interview


Description:
This is a Pediatric CVICU nursing position focused on high acuity patient care for ages 0-18 years.
Patients include those with congenital heart differences who have undergone surgery, medical management of pre-transplant and post-transplant, and those receiving treatment such as ECMO, Impella, and Dialysis.
The patient ratio varies depending on acuity: 2:1, 1:1, or 1:2.
Support staff includes 1 Health Care Tech to support nursing tasks and a unit secretary.
Phlebotomy is available in-house, though central lines are primarily used.
Registered Nurses may float to PICU, NICU, or General Pediatrics as needed.
Orientation includes departmental training across two days.
Weekend rotation requires work every other weekend or fewer as needed.
Travelers will be expected to work 75% of holidays.
