Branch Manager

Branch Manager (Open) – Location: Kenai, AK (ALALP) – Retail shop Responsibilities Oversee daily store operations to meet sales and margin goals. Promote sales, deliver excellent customer service, and manage inventory levels. Balance operational expenses through purchase support. Ensure facility and staff alignment to safety and regulatory standards. Provide professional service for internal and external customers, handling call‑in product, pricing, and technical inquiries. Support outside sales team in nurturing client relationships and welcoming new business opportunities. Process financial transactions accurately, including cash reports, charge tickets, coding, costing, pricing, daily cash summaries, and bank deposits. Maintain accuracy of back‑order, open‑order, and purchase order (PO) expedite reports. Manage cylinder and hard goods inventory levels. Lead training for inside sales associates on product knowledge, company policies, processes, procedures, and safety. Conduct periodic performance reviews for branch associates. Act as a bridge between employees and management, providing mentorship and guidance in collaboration with Human Resources and senior management. Required Qualifications 2+ years of management experience in a customer‑facing environment. Background leading teams within a retail or industrial distribution environment. Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and occasionally up to 125 lbs with material handling equipment. Proficient computer skills and interest in learning new digital tools. Ability to navigate multiple priorities concurrently. Self‑motivated with a focus on contributing to the overall team’s success. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Preferred Qualifications Track record of meaningful contributions in the welding, gas, or safety industry. 3+ years of experience in a role focused on nurturing team growth and operational efficiency. 5+ years of sales experience with a track record of meaningful contributions.
