Assistant General Manager

Overview California Pizza Kitchen, founded in 1985, is looking for a Restaurant Manager to deliver a phenomenal guest experience and lead a team with a people‑first mentality. The role includes driving sales, profitability, and guest counts while maintaining a safe, healthy, and welcoming environment. Responsibilities Lead and inspire the team, building a culture centered on hospitality and culinary execution. Develop and grow top talent, fostering career growth and cross training for the team. Build sales, profitability, and guest counts through effective operations. Manage the restaurant P&L, forecast, adjust labor expenditures, practice portion controls, prepare budgets, and analyze variances. Utilize excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with employees, guests, suppliers, and senior management. Maintain a safe and healthy environment by establishing and following sanitation standards and procedures. Requirements Minimum of two years front‑of‑house (FOH) management experience in a high‑volume, fast‑paced restaurant. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Exceptional leadership ability: motivating, inspiring, and developing a team. Passion for execution, hospitality, and service. Physical demands: ability to sit, stand, and/or walk for up to 10 hours a day; occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, and lift up to 40 lbs. Vision requirements: close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Exposure to computer terminals; moderate noise level and temperature. Compensation and Benefits Annual salary range: USD $75,000 to $80,000. 401(k), health, dental, vision, and disability insurance.
