Bindery Operator

About the RolePrisma is hiring an experienced Bindery Operator to independently set up and operate binderyequipment to produce high-quality finished products. This position requires hands-on experience withcutter, folder, and stitcher setup, the ability to work with minimal supervision, and strongunderstanding of commercial printing bindery processes.General warehouse, packaging, or unrelated machine operator experience does not replace thecommercial printing experience required for this opening.Key ResponsibilitiesSet up, adjust, and operate bindery equipment to meet job specificationsIndependently perform machine setups on cutters, folders, and stitchers to meet job requirements andproduction standardsRead and interpret job tickets, layouts, and production specificationsMeasure and verify folds, cuts, page order, alignment, and finished dimensionsInspect work throughout production to ensure quality standards are metTroubleshoot machine and process issues and make necessary adjustmentsMaintain production schedules and meet deadlinesRecord production counts, waste, and completed workPerform routine maintenance and keep equipment clean and in good working orderFollow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work areaCommunicate production issues, quality concerns, or delays to bindery leadershipExperience with foil stamping, die cutting, and gluing is a plusQualificationsRequired Skills & ExperienceMinimum 3–5 years of experience as a bindery operator in a commercial printing environmentDemonstrated ability to independently set up cutters, folders, and stitchersStrong working knowledge of bindery equipment and finishing processesAbility to read and understand job tickets and production specificationsHigh attention to detail and commitment to qualityReliable attendancePreferred ExperienceExperience with high-end finishing, specialty print, or packaging workMechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skillsExperience working with tight tolerances and premium substratesSuccess in This Role Looks LikeAccurate and efficient machine setups with minimal downtimeConsistent production of high-quality finished productsJobs completed on schedule with minimal reworkDependable, consistent performanceWhy PrismaPrisma is a full-service commercial printing company offering offset, digital, and wide format printing.
