Security Officer Patrol Stewardship Agent in Paramus, NJ will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a busy retail and mall location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help discourage incidents. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $19.50 / Hour Job Schedule: Tue: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM Thur: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM Fri: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM Sun: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM What You’ll Do: Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a retail location. Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting mall management, first responders, and/or other appropriate personnel when needed. Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout common areas, entrances, parking areas, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential concerns. Monitor access points, observe visitor and shopper activity, and report suspicious behavior, maintenance issues, and/or policy violations according to site guidelines. Support a welcoming shopping environment by assisting with directions, answering general questions, and documenting incidents, daily activities, and/or unusual observations in required reports. Minimum Requirements: Have 1+ years of security-related experience. Be 21+ years of age. Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred. A guard card or license is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
