About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: MS/Tele Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 1+ years preferred License: Valid nursing license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS required Must-Have: Epic experience required Must be willing to float within the facility as needed Description: Every other weekend floating is required. Work involves caring for adult and geriatric patient populations. Common cases include burns, plastic/reconstructive surgery, urology, GYN, ENT, and oral/maxillofacial surgeries. Special procedures include burn dressings, flap checks, and leech therapy. Knowledge of BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, and central line care/management is essential. Experience with chest tubes and continuous bladder irrigation is required. Candidates should be familiar with CVA management and feeding tube care and management. Must understand heparin protocols and high flow nasal cannula use. Interpretation of dysrhythmias and isolation precautions is expected. Management of cardiac drips without titration is necessary. Ability to start and maintain IVs, manage dysrhythmias, and provide wound care is required. Knowledge of telemetry monitoring, both on-unit and remote, is important. Experience with surgical drains, tracheostomy care, and traumatic brain injury care is considered a plus. Use of rapid response/code teams is expected. References from professional sources are required, showcasing leadership experience. Candidates should be aware of the urgency of the fingerprinting process linked to credentialing.
