As a valued educator, you'll play a pivotal role for a caseload of 16 remarkable learners, fostering academic, social, and behavioral progress through individualized instruction and a strengths-based approach. Key Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education Teacher licensure, or the ability to obtain appropriate certification
- Experience developing and implementing IEPs for students with diverse learning needs
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with parents, staff, and support providers
- Ability to adapt lessons and instructional strategies to ensure student success
- Prior experience as an Intervention Specialist at the middle school level is highly regarded
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction, intervention, and support to a manageable caseload of 16 middle school students
- Develop, review, and update IEPs, ensuring compliance and meaningful goal-setting
- Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and related service providers
- Cultivate a positive and inclusive classroom climate that nurtures each student’s strengths
- Engage in ongoing progress monitoring and data-driven decision-making
