DTC / Marketing Manager, Eden Rift Vineyards

Job Description:

Eden Rift Vineyards, California's oldest continuously producing wine estate, is hiring a DTC / Marketing Manager to run our direct-to-consumer business and our brand together: wine club, member relations, on-site and virtual events, retail, digital communications, marketing and PR. Our estate in the North Central Coast has been producing wine since 1849, is the recipient of two Decanter gold medals this year, and has twice been named one of the “Top 100 Estates” in the world by Wine & Spirits.

THE ROLE

This role owns DTC performance and Eden Rift's brand and marketing function, reporting directly to the CEO. You will set the DTC and marketing calendar, run analyses, and build the brand story that keeps wine club members engaged and brings new ones in the door. This is a hands-on operating role: you will write the emails, manage the website, run the PR relationships, plan the events, and pick the retail assortment, not just oversee them.

WHAT YOU WILL OWN

•  DTC sales performance against budget and targets, with regular reporting on progress
•  Planning and executing on-site and virtual events, with a written post-event analysis
•  The email marketing calendar and content, timed to inventory, events, and promotions
•  The DTC-facing website: content, inventory, and event listings kept current
•  Wine club retention: proactive outreach to members by phone and email to reinforce value and address concerns
•  Retail inventory selection, aligned to member preferences, sales trends, and margin
•  Brand communications, content marketing, and social media across all channels
•  PR agency relationships and placements with wine trade and regional media
•  Trade show, sales, and event materials, and the release calendar across consumer, trade, and international audiences
•  Any direct reports or seasonal staff supporting DTC and marketing operations
•  Close coordination with the Tasting Room Manager, winemaking, and finance

WHAT YOU BRING

•  Experience spanning marketing and DTC, wine club, hospitality, or retail management, ideally in wine or another consumer/luxury category
•  A track record of hitting sales targets and driving retention
•  Experience building brand communications, content, and marketing collateral
•  Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a feel for tone across trade and consumer audiences
•  Comfort with EDM platforms, website content management, and wine club/POS software (Commerce7, Klaviyo, or similar)
•  A data-driven approach to tracking and reporting performance
•  Ability to travel for trade and consumer events, and to work weekends and evenings as events require
