Industrial Sewing Machine Operator

Our client, an industry leader in manufacturing and custom production, is seeking an Industrial Sewing Machine Operator to join their team. As an Industrial Sewing Machine Operator, you will be part of the manufacturing department supporting production and quality assurance teams. The ideal candidate will have attention to detail, reliability, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Industrial Sewing Machine Operator

Location: Farwell, MI

Pay Range: $16.50

Shift: 8 am to 4 pm, Monday through Friday
overtime can be schedule prior to shift time and include Saturdays

What's the Job?

• Lead and produce custom set-ups and orders in the sewing department using various equipment.
• Operate Gerber cutter to efficiently complete work orders, ensuring high-quality finished products.
• Layout and set-up patterns for athletic and staging cut-outs to minimize waste.
• Operate silk screening equipment to produce top-quality parts by selecting appropriate processes.
• Operate sewing machines to join or reinforce materials, detecting and correcting defects as needed.

What's Needed?

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to operate different sewing machines and equipment.
• Basic math skills for measurements and calculations.
• Problem-solving skills to address operational issues.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and perform manual tasks with agility.
