Position Overview and QualificationsThe Registered Nurse is responsible for coordinating and delivering high-quality, patient-focused care that aligns with departmental needs and adheres to the standards of practice for the relevant state and specialty. Working alongside medical providers and other care team members, the RN offers personalized, comprehensive, and compassionate care utilizing established nursing frameworks such as “Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage.” The RN acts as an advocate for patients, families, and caregivers while embodying the organization’s vision, mission, and values to ensure an exceptional patient experience and clinical outcomes that enhance overall departmental performance.
- Regularly assesses patient pain to facilitate effective pain management, including follow-up assessments after interventions.
- Executes procedures, monitoring, or other tasks as directed by medical providers. Ensures timely and thorough documentation of care in the patient medical record.
- Delivers outstanding care by promptly responding to patient requests and proactively anticipating their needs.
- Educates patients, families, and caregivers about medical conditions, treatment plans, medications, potential side effects, and follow-up actions, simplifying complex medical terminology for better understanding.
- Instructs patients, families, and caregivers on non-medical follow-up measures, such as healthy eating, exercise, disease prevention, and lifestyle modifications, preparing them for future self-management.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 6 months of starting employment.
- Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course certification must be obtained within 18 months of starting employment.
- NIH Stroke Scale certification must be obtained within 60 days of starting employment.
- Trauma Nursing Core Course certification must be obtained within 18 months of starting employment.
- Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Associate Degree in Nursing.

Our facility is a full-service medical center offering comprehensive medical care at two locations. One of our locations is a 460+ bed, multi-specialty acute care hospital that provides advanced women’s health services, including maternity and newborn care with various levels of neonatal intensive care units (NICUs). We also offer minimally invasive gynecological surgery and comprehensive breast imaging services. Additional services include a 24-hour emergency department, pediatric emergency care, and intensive care.
Our other location is recognized as a Level IV Maternal Facility, providing the highest level of care for pregnant and postpartum patients, especially those with serious or complex medical conditions. This center features a 95+ bed Level III NICU, labor and delivery rooms, and a range of specialists to support high-risk pregnancies.
We have also established a Level 4 Epilepsy Center, the first of its kind in Central Texas, catering to both adults and children. This facility includes a 24-hour emergency department and specialized pediatric care.
