They are currently looking to add a Staff Accountant to their team.
Salary/Hourly Rate
$28/hr - $32/hr
Position Overview
The Staff Accountant will support day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger maintenance, account reconciliations, financial reporting, and month-end close activities. This position will work closely with internal teams to maintain accurate financial records, support compliance with accounting standards, and ensure timely reporting in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities Of The Staff Accountant
Prepare and post journal entries and maintain the general ledger.
Perform monthly bank and account reconciliations.
Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
Prepare financial reports and supporting schedules.
Review accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions for accuracy.
Support internal and external audits by preparing documentation and responding to auditor requests.
Monitor and analyze financial data to identify discrepancies, trends, and potential issues.
Maintain compliance with company policies and GAAP.
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis as needed.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams on accounting and finance matters.
Support additional accounting projects and responsibilities as needed.
Required Experience/Skills For The Staff Accountant
2 - 5 years of accounting experience.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software/ERP systems.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Close attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work independently.
Preferred Experience/Skills For The Staff Accountant
Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, or similar.
Month-end close experience.
Audit support experience.
Knowledge of GAAP and internal controls.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, formulas).
Experience in a multi-entity and/or fast-paced corporate environment.
Familiarity with budgeting and financial analysis processes.
Education Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is strongly preferred.
