Position Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Transportation Coordinator to manage the day-to-day operations of our vanpool services . This individual will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth scheduling, routing, and communication between drivers, riders, and our internal team. The ideal candidate will bring experience in transportation logistics, strong problem-solving skills, and a passion for delivering top-notch service. Key Responsibilities Coordinate daily vanpool schedules and routes , ensuring timely pickups and drop-offs. Monitor vehicle usage, driver assignments, and ridership trends to optimize efficiency. Serve as the main point of contact for vanpool drivers and riders, addressing questions, concerns, or emergencies. Recruit, onboard, and train new vanpool drivers in coordination with HR and safety protocols. Ensure compliance with company policies, DOT regulations, and local/state transportation laws. Manage trip data, reports, and maintenance schedules using transportation management software (TMS). Oversee vehicle inspections, service records, and preventative maintenance to ensure safety and reliability. Collaborate with the marketing team to promote vanpool programs and support ridership growth initiatives. Assist with incident reporting, investigation, and resolution in collaboration with management. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Transportation, Logistics, Business, or related field preferred. Minimum 2–3 years of experience in transportation coordination, fleet operations, or logistics. Knowledge of vanpool programs, commuter services, or shared mobility operations is a plus. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and transportation/fleet management software. Strong organizational and communication skills (verbal and written). Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and problem-solve in real-time. Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; CDL is a plus but not required. Work Conditions Primarily office-based with occasional travel to vanpool locations or vendor sites. Must be available for occasional early morning, evening, or weekend support depending on operational needs.
