Laser OperatorThe Laser Operator is responsible for producing high-quality products in a safe, efficient manner by setting up, operating, and performing some basic programming tasks. This role involves ensuring that production equipment operates effectively, meets customer specifications, and adheres to safety standards.Summary of Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities:Prepare production equipment for operation by making necessary adjustments and assisting with equipment changeovers to ensure smooth transitions between production runsOperate laser equipment to ensure it runs efficiently and produces quality output consistentlyMaintain quality standards by conducting first-piece and in-process inspectionsComplete production control charts and analyze recordings to ensure products meet customer specificationsMake necessary equipment adjustments to maintain product qualityHelps trains others for production job responsibilities by demonstrating operational proceduresMaintains machine operation by solving production process problems; making equipment adjustments; reporting production and quality data; reporting decisions made; referring questions to the supervisorMaintains production operations by following policies and procedures (equipment, raw and in-process materials, and finished goods); reporting needed changesEnsures operation of equipment by following preventative maintenance policies and procedures; reporting needed changes and repairsMaintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulationsContributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed through cooperation with team members and acceptance of re-assignments as directed by supervisorsQualifications:High School Diploma or equivalent preferredAbility to read and interpret technical drawings, routers, and other production documentationProficiency in basic math and measurements, including the use of hand-held measuring toolsStrong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality workAbility to operate laser equipment safely and efficiently while adhering to all relevant safety protocolsEqual Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
