Work Environment\n

This role operates within a remote framework, primarily focusing on delivering services to students and collaborating with educational staff. As a member of our School Mental Health Team, you will engage in virtual meetings and therapy sessions, allowing for flexibility while maintaining close connections with the school community. The standard work schedule is Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts and rotating weekends required to meet students' needs. On-call availability may also be necessary for urgent mental health situations.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments for students, evaluating personal history and presenting concerns to inform tailored treatment strategies.

• Collaborate with students to develop individualized treatment plans that promote emotional well-being and facilitate their reintegration into the school environment.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and trauma-focused therapy.

• Lead individual and group therapy sessions aimed at enhancing personal growth and teaching effective coping mechanisms.
\n
• Coordinate care with a team of mental health professionals, including psychiatrists and psychologists, to ensure a multidisciplinary approach to treatment interventions.

• Provide crisis intervention services, employing de-escalation techniques and ensuring appropriate referrals for more intensive care when needed.

• Educate students and their families about mental health conditions and available community resources, fostering understanding and empowerment.

• Maintain accurate and secure documentation of mental health assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes in compliance with legal, ethical, and organizational standards.

• Participate actively in team meetings and case conferences, contributing to collaborative strategies for addressing the mental health needs of our student population.

• Stay informed on relevant regulations and ethical guidelines that impact mental health practice within educational settings.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The licensed social worker will primarily serve a diverse student population within the school system, ranging from elementary to high school levels. You will address a wide array of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and behavioral challenges, catering to the unique needs of each student while promoting an inclusive approach that recognizes cultural, social, and environmental factors.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.

• Valid LICSW license to practice in the state of Massachusetts.

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience, preferably in a school or educational setting.

• Solid understanding of mental health disorders and trauma-informed care, with a commitment to evidence-based treatment practices.

• Experience conducting mental health assessments, developing and implementing treatment plans.

• Proficiency in individual and group therapy modalities with a variety of therapeutic approaches.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building rapport with diverse populations.

Compensation and Benefits\n
