The Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) plays a vital role in ensuring efficient dental operations by assisting dentists during procedures, preparing patients, and maintaining a clean and organized clinical environment. RDAs may also perform expanded functions as permitted by state law.

Job Description
* Patient Care
Prepare patients for dental procedures and ensure comfort during treatment.
Provide post-operative instructions and patient education.
* Clinical Support
Assist dentists during examinations and procedures.
Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment.
Take and develop dental X-rays.
Perform RDA-specific functions (e.g., coronal polishing, applying sealants, fabricating temporary crowns, impressions) depending on state regulations.
* Administrative Duties
Maintain dental supplies inventory and order replacements.
Update patient records and manage scheduling.
Support billing and insurance documentation.
