Job TitleJob DescriptionHelpPerforms the full range of journeyman level tasks associated with the treatment, preparation, and painting of a variety of machine tools and industrial equipment (includes but not limited to lathes, mills, boring mills, drills, etc).Responsible for the operation and maintenance of the paint preparation equipment which includes a bead blasting room and a high pressure washing facility.Applies coating materials using brushes, rollers, spray guns and other means of application ensuring surfaces have smooth texture and decorative appearance as well as meet thickness and level requirementsSets up, adjusts, and operates spray-painting equipment or other power painting equipment such as air assisted, airless, conventional and pressure fed air spray.Ensures products meet protective requirements and work is in compliance with specifications, completed within specified time frames, and meets customer's requirements.Straightens, removes dents and creases, smoothes, fills, sands, and finishes damaged machine tool guards using such tools as dolly sets, hammers, grinders, and sanders.Applies all types of primers and paints to such surfaces, which includes catalyst type paints, sealant, heat resistant paints, lacquers, enamels and other finishes.Maintains and monitors the safety devices within the paint booth, bead blasting room and high pressure washing facility.Must possess and maintain a valid state driver's license and will be required to obtain and maintain a license for the operation of a forklift.
