Senior Quality Assurance Engineer

OverviewJob PurposeWe are looking for a Functional QA Engineer to inspect and assess software quality through functional testing. You will be responsible for finding and reporting software defects and identifying discrepancies between specification and system behavior. Ultimately, as the last line of defense before releases are committed to Production, you will ensure that our products, applications and systems function according to requirements.In this role, you should have a keen eye for detail and excellent communication skills. If you are passionate about quality, we’d like to hear from you.ResponsibilitiesReview and analyze system specificationsCollaborate with team membersto develop effective strategies and test plansExecute test cases and analyze resultsEvaluate product code according to specificationsReport bugs and errors to development teamsTroubleshoot system issues within QA, development and product managementConduct post-release/ post-implementation testingWork with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycleKnowledge and ExperienceBSc/BA in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field5 years of experience with at least 4 of the above tasksProven experience as a Quality Assurance Tester or similar roleExperience in project management and QA methodologyAbility to document and troubleshoot errorsWorking knowledge of test management software (e.g. Jira and ALM) and SQLExcellent communication skillsAttention to detailAnalytical mind and problem-solving aptitudeStrong organizational skillsPreferred SkillsExperience with Fixed Income and/or Derivative Trading Platforms, a big plusFamiliarity with Agile frameworks and regression testing is a plusNew York Base SalaryRangeThe expected base salary for this role, if located in New York, is between $120,000 - 175,000 USD.  The base salary range does not include Intercontinental Exchange’s incentive compensation.  While we provide this range as general guidance, at ICE we compensate employees based on the skillset and experience of the individual.
