Workers Compensation Claims Team Lead – Roseville, CA or Long Beach, CA (Hybrid) Open position for an experienced claims team lead to oversee multiple teams of examiners and technical staff handling workers compensation claims. Responsibilities include managing workloads, training, monitoring claim activities, providing technical guidance, and maintaining client relationships. Responsibilities Supervise multiple teams of examiners and technical operations colleagues, delegating duties and ensuring proper licensing and documentation standards. Provide technical and jurisdictional guidance on claims adjudication, including quality reviews and reserve evaluations for high-cost or complex claims. Act as a second‑level appeal authority for client and claimant issues, implementing final decisions. Identify trends, issues, and opportunities for process improvement; advise management and coordinate related projects. Monitor third‑party and sensitive claims, including litigated and vocational rehabilitation cases. Maintain professional client relationships, offering recommendations and written summaries as needed. Ensure accurate claim coding and documentation by examiners. Qualifications Minimum of 6 years of workers compensation claims experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory role. High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred. Professional certification in the line of business is preferred. Experience with SIP and California workers compensation claims handling. Benefits & Compensation Competitive salary: $105,000–$115,000 per year (range), commensurate with experience.
