CVICU Registered Nurse (RN)

Location: Ocala, FL
Pay Range: $32.00 – $48.00/hr. (Based on Experience)

Schedule Information

• Full-Time Night Shift
• Rotating weekends required
• Additional scheduling details discussed during interview

Compensation & Benefits

Pay Range : $32.00/hr. – $48.00/hr. (Based on experience) + Benefits

Additional Compensation:

• Night Shift Differential: +$4.25/hr.

Additional Incentives:

• Sign-On Bonus available on a case-by-case basis

Position Summary

As a CVICU RN, you will care for critically ill cardiovascular patients requiring intensive monitoring and advanced nursing interventions. This includes patients recovering from cardiovascular procedures, patients on ventilators, and patients receiving multiple critical drips and therapies.

You will collaborate closely with physicians, respiratory therapists, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe, high-quality patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a high-acuity Cardiovascular ICU environment
• Monitor and assess critically ill cardiovascular patients
• Care for patients requiring ventilator support and critical drips
• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders
• Advocate for patients and families while maintaining privacy and confidentiality
• Educate patients and families regarding medications, treatments, and recovery plans
• Respond rapidly to changes in patient condition and emergencies
• Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and multidisciplinary teams
• Support continuous quality improvement and patient safety initiatives

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of recent Acute Care ICU RN experience REQUIRED (within the last 2–3 years)
• Candidates with 2+ years of PCU RN experience may also be considered
• Active Florida RN License or Compact RN License REQUIRED
• Associate Degree in Nursing REQUIRED
• BSN Preferred
• BLS Certification required within 30 days of hire/transfer
• ACLS Certification required within 90 days of hire/transfer
• Strong critical thinking, communication, and patient assessment skills REQUIRED
