American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Mother-Baby / Couplet Care / Post Partum position requiring an OH or compact license and prior postpartum and L&D experience. Requirements Active OH or compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration BLS and NRP certifications required Minimum 2 years of postpartum experience required IV start skills and labor & delivery (L&D) experience required Epic EMR experience required Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program 2 professional references required, with at least 1 from a Manager/Director or Supervisor; Charge RN acceptable for the second reference; no coworker references accepted Responsibilities Hospital setting on the Mother-Baby / Couplet Care / Post Partum unit Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM May float to other units of similar acuity Uses Epic EMR Provide couplet care for mothers and newborns, including postpartum assessment and newborn care Skills include fundus/lochia/perineum care, breastfeeding instruction, cesarean section and vaginal delivery recovery, and management of postpartum hemorrhage and pregnancy-induced hypertension Experience with Pitocin, Magnesium Sulfate therapy, and antihypertensive administration preferred Newborn care responsibilities include cord care, newborn assessment, phototherapy, and discharge teaching to parents Experience with Level 1 Nursery care preferred First-time travel nurses are not preferred for this role Candidates must complete Ohio fingerprinting promptly after signing contract due to strict compliance timelines Former employees eligible after a 6-month break from the facility; current employees are ineligible for travel assignments Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate RTO must be submitted with the application and built into the contract, limited to 7 days or less Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs #J-18808-Ljbffr American Traveler, LLC.
