Job Description
This role focuses on production welding of exhaust parts using MIG welding techniques. You will perform consistent, high-quality welds in a fast-paced environment and ensure all work meets established standards and specifications.
Responsibilities

• Perform MIG welding on exhaust parts in a high-volume production environment.
• Complete production welding tasks efficiently while maintaining consistent quality and workmanship.
• Read and follow work instructions, specifications, and weld requirements for each job.
• Inspect welds visually to ensure they meet quality and safety standards.
• Maintain an appropriate pace of work to keep up with production schedules and output targets.
• Use welding tools and equipment safely and correctly at all times.
• Assist with basic repair welding as needed on parts or components.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area in the welding environment.
• Follow all safety procedures and wear required protective equipment while welding.

Essential Skills

• Proven ability to perform MIG welding on stainless steel components.
• Ability to pass a MIG weld test on 1/4 inch stainless steel.
• Experience working in a production welding environment.
• Capability to maintain consistent weld quality while working at production speed.
• Strong attention to detail when performing and inspecting welds.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions related to welding tasks.
• Commitment to safe work practices in a welding environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with TIG welding is beneficial.
• in repair welding is an advantage.
• Familiarity with welding exhaust parts or similar components is helpful.
• Comfort working with various welding tools and related equipment.

Work Environment
This position is based in a dedicated welding environment focused on production of exhaust parts. You will work around welding equipment, stainless steel components, and related tools in an industrial setting. The role involves standing for extended periods and working near heat, sparks, and metal fabrication processes. Appropriate personal protective equipment, such as welding helmets, gloves, and protective clothing, is required and used daily to ensure safety while performing welding tasks.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Auburn Hills, MI.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $23.00/hr.
