Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience This position is an onsite role and does not offer a hybrid or remote option This position is part of our specialized Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) team, supporting a diverse range of cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgical procedures at a Level 1 Trauma Center. Cardiovascular OR experience strongly preferred. On call responsibilities are required and position is eligible for quarterly specialty call bonus. Summary:

Facilitates the safe and efficient performance of surgical procedures. Responsibilities:
- Prepares surgical operating suite with drapes, solutions, instruments, equipment and supplies.
- Ensures good working order of equipment and instruments. Assists with preparing, transporting, positioning and draping patients.
- Passes instruments to physician during surgery. Continually accounts for number and location of instruments and supplies during surgery.
- Receives and processes specimens for delivery to the laboratory.
- Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.
- Education: High School diploma or GED or Military trained.
- Licensure/Certification: State Surgical Assistant or Surgical Technologist registration. Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider.
- Experience: 6 months Surgical Tech experience or graduate of an accredited Surgical Tech program.
- BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date. BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire.
